Nicola Conte - Other Directions Vol.1&2 *beautiful. people are sleeping. the blue note debut that deserves more recognition. I pimped this months ago and i've decided im gonna start doing it again.
Fugazi - The Argument *Still giving
the occasional listen while running errands. Better appreciation than
before. Still a grower for me. "The Kill" is a song that I love. Not a
typical Fugazi thing at all. But it is new ground - amazing. I encourage them to give me more.
Dangerdoom - The Mouse & The Mask *Yep still fresh. Great to play in the car.
Cillord Brown & Max Roach Vol.1 *desert island jazz material for me. pulled out on a whim. hadnt listen to it in over a year.
V/A Break n Bossa 7: More Funk Into It *mmm hmmm... :D
Marcos Valle - Previsao De Tempo *70's Brazillian classic. aaahhh...
Beastie Boys - Sounds Of Science *"skills
to pay the bills". the track that made me pull it back out. fresh
like a box of the krispy kreme.. yes silly but wonderful. audio red
bull - look out!
V/A Chess Classics (MOJO freebie) *mojo
has been doing fantastic job putting out good soul genre samplers this year.
Southern Soul was a blast. This is great for trainspotters. mixing
common with the unexpected. always finding something i hadn't heard and
being turned on to. that is the point yes!
V/A Kings of Funk *I should
say Disc 2 specifically since its Keb's picks. A couple of recent
instant funk classics with alot of rare modern sounding
funky/northern/disco whateveryoucallit. i love it. hadnt listened in
awhile but its hitting me right again.
pretty boring i know but hey any finds that anyone trippin on? i got
hooked up with some new things (to me anyway) that i'm dying to listen
to. until the next one...
